The Morning Waits is about that quiet pause just before the day fully arrives.
The forest is backlit with early light, colours starting to lift, but everything is still calm. A kookaburra sits in the foreground, settled and watchful.

The work was created using an acrylic underpainting, followed by layered oil paint to build depth, light, and movement through the foliage.
